The Classic Seaview at Saltburn

If fish and chips beside by the seaside are a true British classic, the Seaview restaurant at Saltburn has taken this one step further, refurbishing their small business into a classically stylish seafront restaurant.

Three years ago Glenn Pearson opened a small takeaway with just a window opening and a second hand Florigo 4 pan range but with business steadily improving he took the decision to have a complete refurbishment and add a restaurant to meet with the rising demands.  Seaview is now a stylish and popular eatery that takes the best of this quaint seaside resort: balcony seating to overlook the beautiful sea view and an inside restaurant with a décor that exudes classic elegance.

In a carefully designed and thought-out restaurant, what were Glenn’s reasons for choosing a Florigo range?  Glenn feels that Florigo are at the fore front of modern technology and instead of being complacent and sitting back, they are consistently thinking of ways of how they can improve and get the best method for their customers.  ‘I find the Florigo range a mixture of modern technology with user friendliness, helping the operator.  The range has a very modern way of dropping the pan and the filtration system is second to none’.  Glenn also has nothing but positive comments about the service he has received: ‘The engineers are the most committed and hard working I have ever known throughout my career.  They will get something done no matter how difficult.’  In fact Glenn is so pleased with the whole Florigo package that he has no qualms of contacting the Florigo team as his business is expanding.

Glenn has also been able to combine his love of his business with his other passion: classic cars!  He’s refurbished a Morris miner van to be a working vehicle and has proudly placed the shop name on either side to become a motorized marketing campaign.   Although the shop is extremely busy, Glenn finds time to organise the annual ‘The Saltburn Seaside Extravaganza’ which celebrates all things vintage: classic cars, engines and motors.  As the restaurant is strongly associated with the event, it raises the profile of the restaurant and Glenn isn’t stopping there: he is applying for the Fish and Chip Shop of the Year, making sure Seaview is a name to look out for!
