What Goes Around, Comes Around
It’s safe to say that in life trends come and go. Some trends we are generally quite happy to see the back of: who would want to be still wearing shoulder pads and shell suits! Some trends however never completely go away. Whilst the fish and chip industry has benefited and been shaped by many improvements in technology, there are some trends that have seen a resurgence in popularity such as Round Pans.
Although considered by some to be slightly old fashioned, more and more of our customers are choosing Round Pans: almost 50% of ranges ordered this year included a Round Pan!
And so why are Round Pans such a popular choice? Well, not only do they give you perfectly even heat distribution around the pan but if you prefer to free fry, they are very easy to manage: simply load the pan, stir once and then, unlike with square pans, you don’t have to chase the chips to the corners to unload the chips. In fact the comment we hear the most about Round Pans is how quick they are to unload, making them an ideal choice for busy shops.
