Owned by award winning food writer, restaurateur and fishmonger Mitch Tonks and his friend/business partner Mat Prowse, the RockFish Seafood and Chips at Dartmouth is not your ordinary fish and chip shop.   It is an exciting new family seafood restaurant dedicated to the great British favourite of fish and chips and opened its doors in June 2010.  Comprising of an informal seafood eaterie and seating 70 people the focus is on fish and chips. 

With views over the river Dart The RockFish is most definitely a place to sit and enjoy the freshest of seafood, delivered straight from Brixham fish market daily and then simply prepared and cooked to your liking. 

Served up in the restaurant, resembling a beach hut with gas lamps on the walls, and bleached wooden tables, there’s a great menu offering top quality but affordable local fish for all the family including fried, grilled and battered fish, local crabmeat, jellied eels, potted shrimps, prawn cocktails and plenty more.!  The food is served in really stylish open tray take away boxes with a choice of the market’s fish available as well as some traditional specialities like cracked Devon crab to try out.  A good range of wines to keep the grown up members of the party happy and plenty of sauces - mayonnaise, tomato sauce, garlic mayo, tartare sauce – to enjoy with the fish, followed up by great ice creams

And for those who want to take their fish and chips away - just pop in with your order and they’ll cook your food freshly to order and have it ready for you to take home.
