The location of the town of Caernarfon, with its small harbour and blue flag beach, creates a lovely view across the Afon Menai towards the south of Anglesey but it's the castle, possibly the most famous of Wales's castles, that dominates the skyline.
Just 50 yards away from the castle is the renowned J & C's Chippy which is now owned and operated by James Endaf Cooke and his wife Catherine - James has been working at the shop for the last 13 years, firstly as the manager and 8 years ago purchasing it from the previous owners. It's been a roller coast ride since then - just 12 months after buying the shop it was almost burnt to the ground and James was lucky to escape with his life! The following year he won the prestigious regional award for Fish & Chip shop of the year and has not looked back since.
In 2009 James realised that as business increased, especially in the high season, his 6 year old range was not as reliable as he would have liked and could not cope when demand increased. James had worked on a Florigo range before and knew it was the Rolls Royce of ranges - he did look at other manufacturers but no other company responded in the same way as Lee Woodward and the team at Florigo.
'Lee was honest from the start' said James, 'What was promised was delivered - even down to the smallest detail the new Florigo range does it exactly what it says on the tin!'

Together with Lee's help and advice James invested in a new bespoke counter range, custom built to James exact specifications - including the latest High Efficiency Technology (certificated by GasTec at 95% efficient) with Flotronic computer controls - due to the space available the chip box and scrap box were even made smaller to allow more space for the pans whilst retaining enough room for the counter.
'Before I had the range installed' James said 'I was throwing the oil away every 5-6 days but since the new Florigo was installed I have not thrown a drop of oil away: I am saving 15-20 boxes of oil a week which is about £200 a week and an amazing £10k a year! Not only that but the quality of the food is better, the accuracy of the controls makes my life so much easier, the customers report that the food tastes better, business is booming and I am looking forward to a very busy summer season knowing that this time I can keep up with demand!'
The final word to James 'I would recommend to anyone who is looking for a range - pay the extra and invest in a Florigo - it's worth every penny - I have just had my first gas bill since the range was installed - unbelievably its 60% less than the same time last year (that's £800 less than I expected!!)'
