Carbon Trust has changed!

Florigo - Energy EfficientIf you are thinking of getting High Efficiency equipment for your business such as a Florigo frying range, a popular choice was to get an interest free loan from the Carbon Trust to help with the cost.  However there have been recent changes with Energy Saving Schemes which may affect you if you are planning of applying.

Carbon Trust

Carbon Trust loans are now only available for those businesses in Wales and Northern Ireland*.  You have to be a small or medium-sized enterprise (SME), have been trading for at least 12 months and can show that your energy saving project would save at least 7.5 tonnes of carbon. It is unsecured, interest free and repayable over a period of up to 4 years

 

Energy Efficiency Financing

Instead of Carbon Trust for the rest of the UK, there are leases loans and other financing options available to all types of organisations seeking to reduce their energy use.  Financing can be arranged from £1000, and there are potentially no upper limits, making it a more flexible option.
